Bianca Bell returned to the firm after participating in the joint articling program with Unifor. Bianca practices in the areas of labour law on behalf of trade unions and associations; employment law; and human rights. Bianca also practices criminal law, primarily in the context of criminal allegations in the workplace.
Bianca received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2015. Prior to that, she completed the VicOne program at the University of Toronto and received her B.A. (Honours) from Trent University majoring in Political Studies, graduating on the President’s Honour Roll. At Osgoode, Bianca completed the Intensive Program in Poverty Law at Parkdale Community Legal Services in the Workers’ Rights Division, where she represented clients at the Ontario Labour Board and Small Claims Court. She also completed a Pro Bono Students Canada project with the Caregivers’ Action Centre, assisted a First Nations’ group with an intervention at the National Energy Board, was the Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Society and a member of the Osgoode Women’s Network. Bianca has recently assisted in interventions on behalf of the Criminal Lawyers Association at both the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. She is also an active volunteer at the Workers Action Centre.
Bianca is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Union of Ontario, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and the Criminal Lawyers Association.
