Jason joined the firm after completing his articles in the in-house legal department of one of Canada’s largest private sector trade unions.
Jason studied law at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law for one year before transferring to Osgoode Hall Law School, where he completed his studies and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2016. Jason also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from York University. During law school, Jason completed the Poverty Law Intensive Program in the Workers’ Rights Division at Parkdale Community Legal Services. At Parkdale, Jason represented individual employees on a wide range of issues involving their employment at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Small Claims Court. He also assisted low-income individuals at the University of Windsor’s Community Legal Aid and Osgoode Hall’s Community & Legal Aid Services Programme.
Jason is a member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and the Ontario Bar Association. He is also serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic.
