Majd joined the firm as an Associate in 2021. He is dedicated to advancing the rights and interests of working people and trade unions.
Before joining the firm, Majd summered and articled at another Toronto union-side labour firm, and briefly worked for one of Ontario’s largest faculty associations. He received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019 and was called to the Bar in 2020.
While at Osgoode, he assisted workers in a wide range of employment law issues as a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services’ Workers’ Rights Division. He was also an active member of the Osgoode Hall Law Union, the Strike Support Committee (supporting striking food service workers and university educators), and served as Treasurer of the Law Union of Ontario.
Prior to practicing law in Toronto, Majd worked as a legal advisor for an international humanitarian agency in a protracted armed conflict. He also holds an LLM in International Criminal Justice and Armed Conflict from the University of Nottingham, and an LLM in International Public Law from the University of Leeds.
Majd is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers, and the Law Union of Ontario.
