Andrea Wobick Assists Cornerstone Church's Efforts in Keeping Shelter Open and Preserving the Rights of the Homeless
Aug 27, 2014
Andrea acted as counsel for the Cornerstone Baptist Tabernacle to try to keep their shelter, Cornerstone Place, open in a new location. After releasing Andrea’s legal opinion which discussed the Charter rights of the shelter users to Toronto’s city councillors and the media, City Council voted overwhelmingly to approve the continued operation of the shelter in the new location. UPFH is thrilled that Cornerstone Place will now be able to continue its important services in the community.
She spoke to Matt Galloway on CBC Metro Morning about the Charter rights of shelter residents on August 26, 2014. To listen to the interview, click here.
