Simon Blackstone is a partner at Ursel Phillips Fellows Hopkinson LLP. His practice centres on the representation of trade unions, associations and individual workers. He regularly appears before arbitration boards, labour boards, human rights tribunals, professional discipline hearings and other administrative tribunals. His practice also includes criminal matters relating to the workplace. Simon was called to the Bar in February, 2002.
Prior to practicing law, Simon was a political organizer, working for progressive elected officials and causes. He earned a law degree from Queens University, his Masters of Science (Econ.) from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts (Hon.) from McMaster University.
He is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
